Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 11, 2026
Who we are
FantasyHockeyLab.com ("Fantasy Hockey Lab", "we", "us", or "our") provides NHL fantasy analytics and tools at https://fantasyhockeylab.com (the "Site"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect information about you when you use the Site and related services. This is general information, not legal advice.
1) Information we collect
a) Information you provide to us
- Account & profile details (e.g., name, username, email address, password).
- Preferences (teams/players, settings), and content you submit (feedback, support).
- Payment info (if you buy a paid plan) processed by our payment provider; we receive limited billing metadata, not full card numbers.
b) Information collected automatically
- Usage data: pages viewed, tools used, referring/exit pages, timestamps, clicks.
- Device & network: IP address, browser, OS, device identifiers, language, approximate location (from IP).
- Cookies and similar tech: cookies, local storage, pixels, and web beacons used for functionality, analytics, and (when active) advertising.
c) Information from third parties
- Analytics/advertising partners provide aggregated insights.
- Identity/SSO providers (if enabled) may share email and basic profile to create or link your account.
2) How we use information
We use information to provide and improve the Site and tools; personalize content; measure and understand usage; show and measure ads; communicate with you; detect/prevent fraud and abuse; comply with legal obligations; and enforce terms and policies.
4) Advertising (Google AdSense and Meta)
We show ads on the Site through Google AdSense. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this Site and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this Site and/or other sites on the internet, and to measure how those ads perform.
We also use the Meta Pixel to measure the effectiveness of our advertising on Facebook and Instagram. It records visits to pages on the Site and may use cookies and similar technologies on your device. We do not load the Meta Pixel for visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland.
You can opt out of personalized advertising from Google at adssettings.google.com, and from many other ad networks at www.aboutads.info/choices (US), youronlinechoices.eu (EU), and youradchoices.ca (Canada). You can manage how Meta uses data for ads in your Facebook or Instagram ad preferences. Blocking or deleting cookies in your browser also limits personalized ads.
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, a consent message provided by Google asks for your choices before Google uses cookies for personalized advertising and related measurement. You can change those choices at any time through the privacy settings that message provides.
5) Analytics
We may use analytics services (e.g., Google Analytics) to understand usage. These services use cookies and similar technologies and provide aggregated reports. Learn more and opt out of Google Analytics with tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
7) Data retention and security
We keep information as long as necessary for the purposes above and to meet legal obligations. We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
8) Region-specific disclosures
